Join Landscape photographers Matt Orchard, Mark Upfield and Ben Holland, discovering the awe-inspiring Icelandic landscapes on a photographic expedition.
Our tour specialises to photographers, enthusiast, and those who are up for an adventure into a truly memorizing world of Ice and Fire.
We’ve chosen February for travelling, where winter leaves us with lengthy twilight hours, yet plenty of night hours to search for the dancing Northern Lights.
During our tours, we ensure a up close and personal view of Glaciers, Ice lagoons, incredible mountain ranges, iconic water falls, ancient lava fields, black sand beaches, volcanic landscapes, active geysers and many more stunning locations.
Each tour will have Mark, Matt, a driver and 5 other guests. Keeping numbers low allows us to focus on locations along with photographic assistance.
Our tours are suited for enthusiasts, Semi-Pro and Professional photographers, or those with a sense of adventure and own a DSLR camera.
Day 1
Western Highlands
The adventure starts from pickup at Keflavik International Airport, or Reykjavik City.
We will start our day travelling north, past the town of Borgarnes where we stop and scout the local Seals that make this harbour home. We then continue towards the Western Highlands and the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
We will stop en-route for photographic opportunities before making rest at Grundarfjörður, home to the famous “Witches Hat”
We will have an opportunity for dinner that evening, before optionally heading out to hunt the illusive aurora.
Day 2
The Golden Circle.
We start the day with breakfast and coffee before heading to the Witches Hat, Kirkjufell with the hope of snow topped peaks and golden hour glows.
Once we’ve spent an hour here making the most of the stunning sunrises Iceland has to offer, we’ll depart back South and inland following the famous Golden Circle route.
This incredible route takes us to active Geysers, and the famous Gullfoss water fall. We will make use of the cafe to have a meal before moving our journey on into the evening.
Later guests are welcome to relax at the accommodation or join us on a hunt for the Aurora Borealis
Day 3
Southern Glaciers
On Day 3, we spend time moving east along the Southern Coast of Iceland, this is Glacier country where most of the southern mountains are topped by vast glaciers. The run causes some of the most stunning waterfalls known to Iceland. We will visit several of them on our route including Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss.
We will stop in the beautiful town of Vik for Lunch and supplies.
Our journey continues east towards the incredible Jokulsarlón glacier Lagoon and beach.
We will stay close to this location in hope for a colourful sunset and of course the Aurora Borealis.
Day 4
Diamond beach and
The Glacier Lagoon
Today we wait for sunrise at the iconic diamond beach, home to glaciers and icebergs that you can literally touch after grabbing a bite to eat we will continue East towards Hofn.
Time permitting, we will head to the stunning mountain range of Vestrahorn and the iconic black sand beaches that stretch for miles.
The following day is a ‘free day’ so we have plenty of time to hunt the aurora through to early hours of the morning.
Day 5
Vestrahorn and Høfn
After a bite to eat, we head for sunrise at Vestrahorn, this iconic mountain range is really something else! Carpeted by miles of black sand and rolling water makes a stunning scene.
The remainder of today is a free day to make use of further photographic opportunities at the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, and Vestrahorn. Guests can also opt to take optional extra tours on the ice lagoon or glacier hikes* but this must be pre booked.
During the evening we will continue our nightly aurora hunts, experienced aurora hunters Mark and Matt will scout out the best locations weather permitting.

Today we head back west towards Selfoss, but crossing the stunning southern coast once more, making the most of this extra time to capture any mis attempts (possibly due to weather) at previous locations, whilst also having the opportunity to visit the Ice Beach, ancient volcanic lava fields and the famous beach of Vik.
Timing dependant we will also revisit the famous south coast waterfalls. We stay in Selfoss for the night, with opportunities for a decent dinner.
